This tiny bug is a HUGE problem! We can’t do this alone!
There are so many ways to get involved. Below are a few ideas, but feel free to be creative.
1 – Keep Researching!
This film is a great place to start your education or become inspired to help, but there’s no need to stop here. Check out some of these great resources:

2 – Locate the HWA!
Get outside and locate this tiny aphid! It helps researchers understand where has spread to and how quickly! To quote Mark, “The sooner we locate the infestation, the sooner we can come up with a management solution.” More information can be found here:

3 – Host a screening!
It’s free! The aim of this project, with the support of The Cayuga Lake Watershed, is to provide an engaging and educational resource to empower individuals, clubs, school and communities. Just reach out to us and we can walk you through the process. It’s easy…and the hemlock trees will thank you! Here are just some of the places that have screened.
